The Foundation for Cardiovascular Research is a non-profit organization, associated with the University of Zurich.

Vision

The Foundation is a leading centre for cardiovascular disease in Europe fostering basic and clinical research, medical treatment, teaching and education. Its research efforts are highly recognised in the scientific community, its treatment approaches cover the best therapeutic standards and the educational meetings find a broad international recognition.

Mission

The aim of our Foundation is to support research from bench to bedside and to help disseminate current knowledge in the cardiovascular field to health care professionals and the society as a whole to improve patient care and to benefit society.

Distinction

As a unique feature the Foundation is dedicated to conducting its own basic research projects of international reputation.

The Foundation strives to build relationships with the community, patients and their families, patient organizations, academia, industry, and other foundations. These relationships will help foster a translational approach of turning research findings into future treatment possibilities.
